Abe Portillo is a Cinematographer and Editor, who has been in film and television production year round for the last 5 years. He began film making while attending Pasadena City College, under the guidance of Peter J. Soto who was mentored by cinematographer John Toll, ASC (Legends of the Fall”, Braveheart”) Attending Peter’s class would shape his understanding of film.
While attending Peter’s class, Abe interned at Conscious Minds Productions as a editor under the guidance of Peter Cote who has worked on HBO’s mini series “The Pacific” as a paint & rotoscope artist. Shortly after, Abe worked for Joey Travolta, brother of actor John Travolta, at Inclusion Films Workshop. There Abe traveled with the company to offer his skills as a camera operator during Joey Travolta’s film camps.
